Walk of Love is a pilot walking route developed within the SOCRAT project under the Babini Puti concept.

The route leads from Ljubač through Ljubljana and the Venac hillfort back to Ljubač. It was tested during the pilot visit and is the most developed of the initial five routes.

Its storytelling framework uses the figure of baba as a warm, humorous and knowledgeable narrator of local memory, landscape and tradition.

Interpretation examples

Olive, that is me introduces the olive tree as a symbol of the Mediterranean and of Dalmatian endurance, memory and care.

The lost town evokes the former settlement of Ljubljana and its layered history, from Roman times to medieval references and local memory.

Who is baba? explains the central storytelling figure as a guardian of the home, customs, knowledge, memory and local identity.
